Albanians in the Valley of Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanovci are discriminated against, while Serbia is continuing with ethnic cleansing through the passivation of addresses.
This is what the head of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi, says in an interview for "KosovaPress". The most affected municipality, according to Rexhepi, is Medvegja: "Belgrade's policies are the same as during Milosevic's time, discriminating or even passivating, as we have the ethnic cleansing that is taking place, the ethnic cleansing of Albanians in the Preševo Valley, through of the passivation of addresses by removing the right of Albanians to be residents of these lands. They have done the passivation of addresses very easily, misusing their own law, using their own reasons, the state. A simple policeman can immobilize anyone."
He mentions an extreme case of the passivation of addresses in Presevo: "A 7-member family in Presevo has been passivated. And now it has started with the part of complaints to use their elementary right".
For all these violations, Rexhepi says that the international factor has been notified, but, according to him, their approach towards Serbia is soft. The official calls on Kosovo and Albania to prioritize the issue of the Presheva Valley and create a special program for the Albanians there. (A2 Televizion)
