"Avoiding war in Ukraine was not achieved because Volodymyr Zelenskyy wanted to go to war," US President Donald Trump said in an interview.
The US president also added that the Russian military is more powerful than the Ukrainian one and again threatened Moscow with additional sanctions if the conflict is not resolved immediately.
"The Russian people, yes, they are wonderful people. I don't want to do this. But we have to end this war. And if they don't make a solution like fast, and Zelensky, I will say this, he wants to decide now.
He's had enough. He shouldn't have let this war happen either. You know, he's no angel either, he shouldn't have let this war happen. I could have made that deal so easily but Zelenskyy did the opposite, he said: 'I want a war.' From what I hear, Putin would like to meet with me and we'll meet as soon as we can.
