The period of voting by mail for voters outside Kosovo begins

The Central Election Commission has announced that the period of voting by mail has begun for all citizens of Kosovo who have registered to vote from outside Kosovo and who have selected this voting method.

According to the announcement of the CEC, this period from January 9 to February 8, 2025 will only apply to citizens who have successfully registered as voters outside of Kosovo and who, during registration, have been individually determined for the voting method, by sending the ballot by mail to one of mailboxes opened by the CEC outside Kosovo, or by sending the ballot by mail to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo.

"Citizens of Kosovo who are registered to vote physically in one of the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo, are informed that the voting process will be held on February 8, 2025. The Central Election Commission has individually notified all registered voters to vote through mail for the voting procedure", the announcement states.

All citizens of Kosovo who are registered to vote by mail, to send the ballot package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo or to any of the CEC mailboxes outside Kosovo, must follow the instructions of the CEC for voting by mail.

Step 1: Complete the ballot

1. Download and print the ballot.
2. The political subjects are listed on the left side of the ballot paper. Choose only one political subject.
3. On the right side, you can vote for up to ten candidates.
4. After completing the ballot:
• Fold the ballot, place it inside the envelope and seal the envelope.
• Do not write anything on the envelope!

Step 2: Submit the ballot
1. Print the registration receipt you received via email during the registration period.

2. Inside the second envelope, place:
• The sealed envelope with the completed ballot.
• Registration receipt.
3. On the second envelope:
• Write the address of the CEC mailbox (attached to this email you will find the addresses of the CEC mailboxes).
• Place a postage stamp.
4. Send the envelope to the nearest post office in the state where you live.

Watch out! For your ballot to be valid:
• Delivery must be individual (you cannot include ballots for family members or other persons).
